Weight Watchers needed a way to better engage existing customers while they were at their centers, enhance their overall experience, and cross sell relevant and related products to increase local revenues.
These displays were designed to enhance the Weight Watchers meeting experience by adding a vibrant interactive component to the customer experience, and to also allow them to provide powerful and compelling marketing and sales messages. The project involved the installation of at least two vibrant video screens in every Weight Watchers center…one installed at the customer reception/weigh-in area as a marketing and servicing tool, and the other in the meeting room itself where Weight Watchers meetings are conducted.
Weight Watchers centers benefited tremendously as each location now featured up to date interactive content which allowed for targeted promotions, informational messages and special announcements for that particular locale. Having these messages delivered via video and audio was much more compelling and attention grabbing than before.
Marketing teams could react in real-time to promotional needs and pushed timely messages without relying on printing and long lead times. Welcome desk staff saved time explaining payment plans to customers since the marketing screen also outlined the best membership options and payment plans, so by the time new customers reached the front of the line, they were prepared to make a purchase. The pre-meeting screen in the meeting room also gave group leaders the chance to motivate members with cooking demos, info about new products and special events.
